AmmoLand SureFire Stiletto Review

Since its introduction, the Stiletto has found favor with practically everyone seeking a SureFire-manufactured alternative to round-bodied EDC flashlights. That’s no surprise. With a sleek, slim, and lightweight polymer body that measures just under 4.5 inches long and weighs a mere 3 ounces, the Stiletto easily tucks into any pant or shirt pocket for comfortable, unobtrusive everyday carry. It’s so compact you probably won’t even remember you have it with you…until you need it.

That’s when you’ll be glad you’re carrying a Stiletto because it offers a lot of advantages besides just its profile. SureFire’s high-output LED emitter and innovative, patented MaxVision Beam® reflector technology help you stay alert by projecting a natural, wide-angle beam pattern with no hotspots in the entire field of view. It’s bright enough to disorient an attacker in a high-stress situation,  light your way down a rock-strewn path in a dense forest, or help you troubleshoot a vehicle in the dark of night.

And, with its multiple output settings, you can also tailor the Stiletto to your lighting needs. When set to default mode, the first press of its primary button activates the 5-lumen Low mode. Pressing the button again activates the 250-lumen Medium mode, and a third press activates the 650-lumen High mode. The output order can also be easily reprogrammed so that the first press of the primary button activates High mode first and Low mode last. You can also instantly unleash the Stiletto’s High output with a single push of the tactical switch on the tail, and this switch can also be programmed to deliver either momentary-on or constant-on light activation. The tail switch also allows the user to access a strobe function that can serve as a distress signal. It’s as versatile as it is slim.

The Stiletto’s integrated lithium-polymer battery is powerful, and it’s also easily renewable. You can recharge it via any Micro-USB cable (a cable is also included) — no need to carry spare batteries. Likewise, monitoring the battery level is as simple as reading the LED fuel gauge to see how much of the Stiletto’s 1.75-hour run time is still available.

Designed, engineered, and assembled in the U.S., the Stiletto is also built to last. Its rugged polymer body is topped off with a Mil-Spec, hard-anodized aluminum head assembly for added corrosion resistance and durability. The Stiletto is also IPX7-certified—it stays watertight in up to 1 meter of water for at least 30 minutes—so it can tackle the wettest conditions. Even its spring steel pocket clip is coated with Melonite® a heat-treating process that increases wear resistance.

Like every SureFire product, you can count on the Stiletto to last. SureFire does. That’s why the Stiletto comes with the SureFire No-Hassle Guarantee, which warrants the Stiletto against defective materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser.
